I was just reading and saw this: ”Walking infants practice keeping balance in upright stance and locomotion for more than 6 hours per day. They average between 500 and 1,500 walking steps per hour so that by the end of each day they have taken 9,000 walking steps and traveled the length of 29 football fields.”

“If a child is to keep his inborn sense of wonder, he needs the companionship of at least one adult who can share it, rediscovering with him the joy, excitement and mystery of the world we live in.” ~ Rachel Carson
